Modern, High Energy Wedding Reception at the Grand Hall KC

Kyle and Heather had a modern, luxury wedding at the Grand Hall at P&L in the summer of 2022. The Grand Hall KC is located in downtown Kansas City within the Power & Light District. The venue is actually a historic event space with a beautiful terrace on the 31st floor. This allowed for a private shoot on top of the historical Power & Light building with the Kansas City skyline as our backdrop for their wedding day.

Reception - One Big Party!

Initially, throughout our conversations, Heather mentioned that they wanted their wedding reception to be a PARTY! Kyle and Heather hired a saxophonist from NYC and flew him down to Kansas City for their wedding day. The saxophonist would improvise on the spot with the music being played throughout the reception and it just added another layer to an already fun wedding reception. Kyle and Heather didn’t stop there for their wedding day, they also rented a 360 Photo booth from Icon Event Group where a camera would spin around them and create a 360 degree video.

What We Loved

Quality was very important to Kyle and Heather. Everything about their day was iconic and modern. From the luxurious decor to the black tie attire, their wedding was nothing less than elegant. While they had a luxurious modern wedding, they ultimately wanted their wedding reception to feel like a party. Through Iconic Event Group , Kyle + Heather rented C02 Cannons and it was amazing! We were really able to capture so much good footage of their reception where it allowed us to have so much fun with their wedding film, highlighting the high energy of their wedding reception.
